About Us Who We Are InteliSpend Prepaid SolutionsTM offers business-to-business reward solutions for corporate incentive and consumer promotions programs. Our clients use our wide selection of prepaid cards as well as our American Express® Gift Cheques and American Express® Travelers Cheques for programs such as employee recognition, sales incentives, dealer/distributor incentives, consumer promotions and rebates.
We were founded in 1997 as a joint venture between American Express and Maritz Inc., with each parent offering unique strengths. American Express provides a superior product technology platform and brand recognition in the financial products industry, while Maritz lends longstanding expertise in incentive solutions.
In 2010, Maritz Holdings, Inc. bought American Express Company's minority interest and as a result, InteliSpend is now entirely owned by Maritz Holding, Inc. and its affiliates. InteliSpend remains an independent issuer of prepaid products on the American Express network and also an authorized seller of American Express - branded products.
We have grown to be a leader in prepaid reward cards and a pioneer in theme and focused-use card products. We now do business with thousands of clients representing 76% of Fortune 100 companies.
