StoreFinancial Licenses American Express Incentive Services' Patented DirectSpendSM Process

ST. LOUIS, May 16, 2007 – StoreFinancial, a leading provider of shopping center gift card programs, has signed a licensing agreement to utilize American Express Incentive Services' (AEIS') DirectSpend process for their gift cards. StoreFinancial will leverage AEIS' patented merchant acceptance process (U.S. Patent Numbers 5,689,100 and 5,956,695) to offer DirectSpend prepaid cards to its customer base.

DirectSpend cards strategically direct cardholder spending to select merchants. StoreFinancial will use the DirectSpend process to ensure that cards may only be redeemed at participating merchants that are located in or adjacent to the shopping centers or districts where the cards are sold.
