Gift Cheque FAQs 1. What's the difference between American Express® Gift Cheques and American Express® Travelers Cheques? Gift Cheques and Travelers Cheques can both be used virtually everywhere for virtually anything. Gift Cheques, which come in an elegant gold envelope for gifting, are designed for incentive, reward and gifting purposes while Travelers Cheques are best suited for business travel expense management.
2. Where can I buy Gift Cheques and Travelers Cheques? There are several ways to purchase, just call American Express Incentive Services 1-888-453-0150 for assistance in determining which option is best for you.
3. Where can I use Gift Cheques and Travelers Cheques? You can use Gift Cheques and Travelers Cheques virtually everywhere.
4. Can U.S. Travelers Cheques be used internationally? Yes. They are accepted internationally, but international redemptions are subject to the currency exchange and the merchant's discretion. Since Travelers Cheques are treated the same way as cash, they can also be exchanged for cash at financial institutions, exchange bureaus, or American Express Travel Service locations.

9. How can I pay for Gift Cheques or Travelers Cheques? We only accept company checks, wire transfer, ACH credit and ACH debit for payment.
10. Why is there a per Cheque fee, and what does it include? The Cheque fee includes the value of the Gift Cheque or Travelers Cheque itself, Customer Service support, full replacement services if lost or stolen, merchant management, postage, manufacturing, packaging and storage. Cheques also offer additional benefits that are defined in the purchaser's agreement.
11. What do I do when I receive my Gift Cheque or Travelers Cheque and how do I use it? The individual that will be using the Cheque should follow the purchaser's agreement located with the Cheque. For Cheques requiring a signature, please sign the Cheque as indicated, immediately upon receipt. When presenting for payment, the "PAY THIS CHEQUE TO THE ORDER OF" line should be completed along with a counter signature directly underneath in the presence of the cashier.
