Description

Newark Liberty International Airport has a series of bridges that are currently in redevelopment. The contract for Bridge N61, N62, and N63 is a part of the Newark Liberty International Airport Terminal A Redevelopment Program. The work under this contract consists of furnishing and installing underground electrical and communication duct banks, water and sewer lines, overhead signs, roadways, canopy structures, and landscaping. The construction of Bridges N61, N62 and N63 will interlink Terminal A, B, and C of Newark Liberty International Airport.

Scope

AEIS is performing non-destructive testing (NDT), welding, bolting, asphalt, and soil inspections on this redevelopment project. AEIS’ inspection and testing team determines the quality, compliance, and safety of project materials and activities on a daily basis. To ensure a timely project completion, AEIS’ field inspection teams utilize digital reporting and streamlined communication methods to update project teams on the status of inspection and testing activities.

  • SNT-TC-1A Level II-certified NDT technicians are performing ground penetrating radar, magnetic particle testing, and ultrasonic testing.
  • AWS-certified welding inspectors are performing structural steel welding inspections.
  • ICC-certified structural steel and bolting inspectors are performing high-strength bolting inspections.
  • NICET-certified technicians are performing soil inspections.
  • HMA-certified technicians are performing asphalt inspections.
  • Vibration monitoring technicians are performing seismic vibration monitoring.
