Description

Opened in 1961, the Throgs Neck Bridge connects the Throggs Neck section of the Bronx with the Bay Terrace section of Queens suspension bridge was built with six lanes, three in each direction, in effort to ease increasing congestion on the nearby Bronx–Whitestone Bridge. In June 2019, AEIS partnered with OHL North America on the revitalization of Throgs Neck bridge through the replacement of the original, concrete-filled 60-year-old bridge deck with an orthotropic steel deck. AEIS is proud to ensure a high level of quality, compliance and safety for this heavily traveled crossing.
