Concrete Inspection

Concrete inspection is far more comprehensive than just preparing cylinders. To meet building codes and job specifications, special inspections are often required before, during, and after concrete placement to verify structural integrity, material compliance, and construction quality.

At AEIS, our experienced and certified inspectors perform a full range of concrete inspection and testing services using calibrated equipment and standardized procedures in line with ACI, ASTM, and project-specific requirements.

Our services include:

Pre-placement verification of formwork, embedded items, vapor barriers, water stops, and steel reinforcement including anchorage, spacing, and support to ensure compliance with approved design drawings.

Concrete batch review to confirm mix type, delivery timing, and conformity with specifications through careful examination of batch tickets and documentation.

Fresh concrete testing, including temperature, slump, unit weight, and air content. We also cast and manage compressive strength test specimens (cylinders or beams) for lab curing and analysis.

On-site oversight of concrete placement conditions, including placement techniques, vibration, and conformance with protection measures in extreme weather conditions (hot or cold).

Specialized testing (as required by project specifications), such as chloride ion penetration, drying shrinkage, microwave moisture testing, or straightedge surface tolerances

Specialty concrete materials support, including testing for self-consolidating concrete, shotcrete, or concrete containing shrinkage-reducing, waterproofing, or other performance-enhancing admixtures.

Our inspectors work closely with construction teams to ensure real-time compliance, reduce rework risks, and support overall project quality. Every inspection is documented with clear traceability to structure types, column lines, elevations, and other project-specific location references.
