Penetrant Testing
Surface-Level Precision for Infrastructure Integrity
Penetrant Testing (PT), also known as Dye Penetrant Inspection (DPI) or Liquid Penetrant Inspection (LPI), is one of the most effective and economical surface flaw detection methods used across fabrication shops and on-site inspections. At AEIS, PT plays a critical role in ensuring the integrity of metallic and nonmetallic components used in infrastructure projects particularly in the aviation, transit, bridge, tunnel, and heavy civil sectors.
We use PT to inspect welds, castings, forgings, and in-service components for surface-breaking cracks and discontinuities. Whether verifying fit-up welds on a structural base plate in the field or testing machined components in our QA facility, our team delivers fast, accurate, code-compliant results using both fluorescent and visible penetrants.
