Progress Inspections

AEIS offers a wide range of required and elective progress inspections, including numerous Energy Code Compliance inspections as referenced in 1 RCNY §5000-01. Below is a selection of services performed by our qualified inspectors:

Core Progress Inspections

• Preliminary Inspection (PREL)
  Performed prior to construction approval, typically to assess the site or building conditions
• Footing & Foundation Inspection (FFOI)
  Verification of excavation, formwork, and materials prior to concrete placement
• Lowest Floor Elevation Inspection (LFEC)
  For flood zone projects, verification of base flood elevation per FEMA Form 086-0-33
• Structural Wood Frame Inspection (SWFI)
  Assessment of framing prior to concealment, excluding those covered under Special Inspections
• Fire-Resistance Rated Construction (FRRC)
  Inspection of partitions, floors, ceilings, and shafts to confirm proper materials, thickness, fasteners, and framing are installed before concealment
• Public Assembly Emergency Lighting (PAEL)
  Verification that emergency lighting systems comply with approved documents and life safety requirements
• Final Inspection (FINI)
  Required to confirm overall compliance prior to closeout, applicable to projects with no changes in occupancy or egress
