Windsor Probe Test

The Windsor Probe System is used to evaluate the compressive strength of in-place concrete. This is Non-Destructive test is an cost-effective choice which is often used to when compressive strength of concrete is not available, compressive strength is in question or when coring is not an option. Windsor Probe can be performed on Light Weight Concrete and Normal Weight Concrete measuring up to 17,000 PSI (110MPA). Windsor Probe method is the most trusted and reliable method that Structural Engineer’s prefer. This non-destructive test can be used on fresh or mature concrete with equal effectiveness.

The Windsor probe test is performed as per the ASTM C803 requirements. The test consists of driving a ¼ inch diameter steel probe into the concrete surface using a precision powder 0.32-caliber cartridge. Depth of the probe’s penetration is measured which is correlated to in-situ compressive strength of concrete. This system is safe to use and very user friendly.
