Heat Treatment Lab
Heat treatment is a process of heating and cooling metals under controlled conditions to improve its properties and performance based on its material specification requirements. The process involves heating the sample using a furnace at a specified temperature for a specific amount of time. Several cooling techniques can be used that yield different results. Physical and chemical properties are optimized as well as the metal’s microstructure is altered.
At AEIS, we are capable of heat treating metals in house for testing purposes as required by standard testing procedures. In house fabrication of fixtures that need heat treatment are also being supported by the laboratory.
