X-Ray Fluorescence

X-ray Fluorescence testing is a non-destructive method of determining the elements present in a metal or alloy. This process is accomplished by the use of an X-ray beam which does not leave any mark on the surface of the material.

Portable XRF equipment can be brought to a remote location to produce an elemental chemical analysis on in-situ large sections or where it is not feasible to cut a sample to send to the laboratory. XRF enables to differentiate between similar alloys by showing the elements present.
